Consciousness Diagram
The attached diagram is for the purpose of making sense of our inherent nature or so-called Self Nature, the extent of ‘complete reality’ and the place of the human condition within this. It is impossible to state exactly what our original Self Nature is, as it is beyond the confines and restrictions of language. Understanding it intellectually is still just within the realm of knowledge. One must expereince it in order to fully comprehend. The chart is to help the student make sense on how to approach the concepts within.
Our Self Nature is our original state. The word ‘original’ is misleading in that our Self Nature is ever present beyond the confines of time. The Self is not limited to a singular self, such as a John or a Mary. It is infinite and has no barriers. In other words it can come and go freely without limitations. It also possesses all things and is not lacking anything. We can call this our 12th Consciousness. A contemporary word for consciousness is dimension.
Our Self Nature posseses two functions, namely that of Omnipotence and Omniscienceness. Omniscienceness can be viewed as the knowledge of all things, or the possession of all information. Omnipotence is the ability to create any event. If the Mind stirs these two start operating and are hidden within our 8th Consciousness. The 8th Dimension can be thought of as an infinite map which contains all information and events. As such it still possesses perfection. The “map” projects and functions like a “Consciouness Sattelite” with GPS functionality. Everything necessary to make any event unfold is projected to the relevant reality and hidden within the dual wave/particle function of that Universe. The “Sattelite” no only sends but also receives. All our behaviour and habits are recorded, marked or labelled in the 8th Consciousness, i.e. our karmic actions are also contained within the 8th Consciousness.
Our human bodies are organised when our ego(the 7th Consciousness), withdraws information registered in the 8th Consciousness. Our ego limits and binds this information and projects to our 5th Consciousness. Our 5th Consciousness includes all our senses such as smell, touch, hearing, seeing and tasting. The 7th Consciousness or ego however remains hidden in the 5th Consciousness. Our 6th Consciousness has the dual ability to judge and to ‘brighten’. Both the 7th Consciousness and 6th Consciousness check each other in the 5th Consciousness. If the information is correct and correlate then the 6th Consciousness can ‘brighten’ and project to our 5th Consciousness or dimension and create rhythm (our life sequence function or programme).
When we are born, the marks or labels brought from the 8th Consciousness and projected into this life, forms the basis for our personality/identity. When this happens we start to view ourselves as an independent person. This information projected here can be called our soul. When we die it desolves and returns to the 8th Consciousness and is therefore not permanent. When we come here we are surrounded by other people with similar tendencies and behaviour and we can interact and influence each other. This is called our spirit. Depending on your behaviour from a previous life, it will determine how much influence you have over other people and vice versa. The section in the diagram below the “mirror” is infinite in scope and variation. Reincarnation within this section is infinite unless we can Self reflect and discover our Self Nature.
When we practice Tai Chi the aim is to “Keep in One”. In order to “Keep in One” we must be completely relaxed, be completely suspended (not clash with gravity) and concentrate the Mind in one singular point in our centre core. If these conditions are met a dimension collapse occurs and we return to our source or Self Nature. If the Mind stirs and engages with the “mirror” the above process starts to function all over again. If the Mind can remain still we move towards liberation and freedom from delusion and endless reincarnation.
